Mount Moriah (4,049 feet)

Though that night
the meteor shower

was hidden behind
low hanging clouds,

I had already seen
the night sky

earlier that day,
mica scattered 

in granite, sparkling 
underneath my boots.

Description: From the end of Bangor street there's an out and back trail, 4.5 miles up to the summit of Mount Moriah (9 miles total). The trail passes over Mt. Surprise and at 2.5 miles up there is a nice view west and north. The summit has a 360 view.
