Description: Mount Hale is considered one of the easier 4,000 footers; it's only a 2.2 mile hike to the summit (on Hale Brook Trail). However, as Zealand Road is closed in the winter, this adds an additional 2.9 miles. You can park in the Ammonoosuc Lower Falls Trailheadparking lot. From there, the total mileage for a Mount Hale winter hike is 10.2.
