Description: The shortest (and most common) trail up to the summit of Mount Waumbek is the Starr King Trail which also crosses over the summit of Mount Starr King (3,907' and on the 52 with a view list). The total distance (out and back) is 7.2 miles. The Star King Road is sometimes too icy and/or closed in winter. You can park at a small pullout across from Cottage street along Route 2.
